Application for Professional Program
Admission to the Professional Program starting in the sophomore year is a selective process based on portfolio review and academic achievement demonstrating skills in design principles and elements, design creativity, drafting and lettering, technical accuracy, and craftsmanship.
The Portfolio Review is based on coursework from the following three classes:
- ArchSt 1100 (or ARTGE_VS1030 Basic 2-D Design)
- ArchSt 1200 Drafting
- ARTDR_VS 1050 Beginning Drawing
Each year, approximately 45 students are admitted to the Professional program. These students begin taking a sequence of design studio courses that culminate in the Bachelor of Science degree.
