Bio

Sam Kellerman is an Architect with over 17-years of professional experience working on projects throughout the United States. His career started in high-end residential and then moved into commercial design of science and technology, healthcare, and academic projects. His work has left a lasting positive impact through attentive and responsible design that addresses human and environmental needs. In addition to built professional work Sam has focused on mentorship and leadership of professional colleagues. He is proud to share his professional expertise and knowledge with the students of the University of Missouri as an Assistant Teaching Professor.

Sam graduated with degrees in Architecture and Visual Art from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (2006). He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah (2018) that has expanded his ability to understand the needs of complex organizations and lead highly skilled professional teams.

Sam’s fosters positive work environments through mentorship, team leadership, and client engagement. He has built a design and technical knowledge base through the intersection of architecture, technology, and digital fabrication. Through design execution, he has become a material expert and has visited numerous material source factories including advanced steel fabricators, industrial scale 3D concrete printing, advanced terracotta production, mass timber manufacturers, and state-of-the-art glass coatings.

Sam’s personal interests include a passion for the outdoors, wildlife, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and camping. His travels have taken him around the world and have allowed him to visit numerous non-western historical sites. He enjoys growing food and cooking amazing meals for his family straight from the garden.
