Bio
Jayedi Aman, PhD (He/Him) is an Assistant Professor in Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a faculty member of both the iLab and the Fabrication Lab. His research explores the intersection of urban morphology, sustainability, and human behavior, utilizing advanced design computing technologies such as Digital Twin, Geospatial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Parametric Energy Simulation, and AR/VR. Dr. Aman’s recent work focuses on developing computational frameworks that measure the impact of urban features on public sentiment and assess the environmental performance of buildings and communities. He has contributed to interdisciplinary research projects funded by organizations such as the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL).
Dr. Aman is an active participant in leading design computing conferences, including CAADRIA, eCAADe, and CAAD Futures. He is also a member of the Institute of Architects, Bangladesh (IAB); the American Institute of Architects (AIA); the Association of American Geographers (AAG); and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).
