MISSION STATEMENT FOR PROJECT:

In this project, students must design and prototype (build) a cardboard chair using ONLY flattened cardboard boxes and adhesive (glue). Cardboard is a cheap, recyclable, and versatile material. In addition to its simplicity and accessibility, designers and architects can use cardboard to create high-end products.

GOALS OF THE PROJECT:
  1. Design and construct an original item of furniture.
  2. Create a durable product that is comfortable to use and can withstand the weight of a person.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of furniture assembly and design.
