Scholarly Research
The curriculum is structured so that students move gradually from overview of architectural research to the identification and pursuit of major and minor areas of specialization and, finally, to highly specialized original research. This framework promotes stimulating intellectual discourse among individuals with varying research philosophies and interests.
Preparing for Professional Practice
Students build upon a 4-year design degree to earn a terminal degree in the field of architecture, the first to exist at a public institution in the State of Missouri.
The department’s website is well-organized and highly intuitive to navigate, making it easy to quickly find needed information. The website also has a clean design that provides a comfortable reading experience. I find the faculty page especially helpful, as most of the professors have personal bio and CV, allowing me to quickly understand their research areas and expertise. Overall, the website is both visually appealing and highly functional.
