Connie Fitzgerald
Instructor
Connie has been a dedicated instructor with the Architectural studies department for 3 years. As an alumnus of this program herself, Connie brings a special perspective to her teaching with the ability to empathize with her students perhaps more than other instructors. Connie specializes in the critical thinking behind designing a space and encourages students to dig deeper into their projects and purposes than they maybe would otherwise. Her passion for creating opportunities for students to connect design principles with real-world-impact makes service learning a priority. Working closely with our local Habitat for Humanity organization, all of her students get real world construction experience while helping the local community.
Connie’s research interests have focused on exploring how design can enhance care and comfort in end-of-life settings.
