Ezra Stimac
Ezra Stimac is a senior in the Architectural Studies department whose interest in architecture arose due to the push of her high school art teacher. She decided to pursue architecture as a means of blending her desire for creative problem solving, social engineering, and the real-life application of the practical sciences. Alongside her bachelors, she is pursuing two minors in construction management and engineering sustainably, alongside a sustainability certificate. Currently working on her senior thesis, Ezra is exploring the feasibility of net-zero energy integration into high rise abandoned office spaces alongside their conversion into mixed-used, residential spaces for the community. When not tirelessly haunting Stanley and Gentry Hall, Ezra can likely be found traveling and exploring the outdoors, or endlessly attempting to try out a new artistic endeavor.
Ezra is now entering her third year working as a teaching assistant for the department. Having taught both Drafting and Visual Design, she enjoys helping first-year students immerse themselves into studio culture. She further promotes studio culture in her role as the President of Mizzou’s Architecture and Design student organization. She is positioned to graduate in Spring of 2025 and hopes to continue her academic pursuit in graduate school– focusing on revitalizing current infrastructure through adaptive reuse and sustainable, human-centered design.
