Gia Pisto-Reade is a relative newcomer to Columbia, Missouri and is honored to be joining the University of Missouri community as an Adjunct Professor of Interior Design.

Gia holds her undergraduate degree in Art History from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. After spending a year studying the Renaissance masters in Italy, she went on to pursue her Masters of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. During her time at Pratt she participated in a year-long Exhibition Design Studio that ultimately took her to Barcelona, Spain for a Retail Design intensive. Gia has been a working Interior Designer since 2011. She also had the opportunity to share her knowledge while acting as Adjunct Professor of Interior Design at Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California.

Academics, personal and professional pursuits have taken Gia all over the world. During her upbringing in the restaurant business in Monterey, California, Gia was constantly exposed to culture, art, food, and curated experiences. All of this ultimately informs her approach to design and is a perspective she is eager to share with her students.

Gia, her partner Rob, and their three young children moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2021. Together, Rob and Gia operate Reade Studios, a full-service Interior and Lighting Design Studio.
