Liana Williams
Liana Williams is a sophomore in the Department of Architectural Studies with an emphasis in Architecture. She has a vast appreciation and respect for not only Architecture but design in its entirety. Her entire life has been filled with creative outlets such as painting, sketching/drawing, and making collages starting at an early age. She found a true love for architecture through a monthly subscription to Architectural Digest and was obsessed with the way that designers could make buildings feel from the inside out and the depth of emotion tied to them. The summer before the first year, she designed and created a table out of wood, which paved the way for her love for furniture design.
Her time at university thus far has been a fun rollercoaster between drafting, making sculptures, designing an ergonomic chair, as well as creating a lamp and jewelry box. She has also been on the Dean’s List every semester. She realized during this time that she had a deeper appreciation for woodworking that made her discover a new creative outlet, and now, helps guide others with their projects as a teaching assistant. Her experience within Mizzou’s Architecture department has helped her achieve and work towards her dreams of being a designer and has loved and cherished every second of her time spent here.
Liana is a member of MAD (Mizzou Architectural Design), and Sustain Mizzou.
She is on track to graduate in the fall of 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with minors in Construction Management and Engineering Sustainability.
She is currently in Studio finishing a model and site plans for a pavilion. She also has plans for working on a personal project involving making custom rugs and pillows.
Liana is a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Building Systems Laboratory and Advanced Building Systems Laboratory where woodworking, fabrication, and materials collaborate to create a beautiful product.
