Madeline Ferm
Madeline Ferm is a Ph.D. student in Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri. In addition to being a part-time student, Madeline is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Fay Jones School of Architecture, University of Arkansas. Currently, she teaches first-year studio courses within the architecture department, as well as Design Thinking I, a required software course for freshman. Other courses taught include Interior Design Studio I, Interior Design Studio II, Interior Design Studio III, and Architectural Theory.
Madeline graduated with her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 2021. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Architecture from Pratt Institute in 2022. During her time at Pratt, Madeline focused her research on biophilic design, domestic space, and accommodating local species within architecture due to urbanization of animal habitats. Madeline’s professional practice experience has been very broad, ranging from big box stores to libraries to custom homes.
