Md Obidul Haque
Md Obidul Haque is a Ph.D. student in Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he serves as both a Graduate Research Assistant at the Immersive Visualization Lab (iLab) and a Teaching Assistant. His research focuses on integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM), algorithm-based parametric design, building performance analysis, and visualization. He is currently involved in a research project exploring how computational methods can improve accessibility in healthcare facilities, supported by the U.S. Administration for Community Living and the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) in collaboration with the Great Plains ADA Center.
Obidul has published research articles in respected journals and has presented his work at international conferences, including Built Environment Project and Asset Management (BEPAM), CAADRIA, and SIGraDi. With a professional architectural portfolio that includes apartment buildings, office complexes, garment facilities, and interior and landscape projects, he is a full member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). He has 10 years of teaching experience in Bangladesh, where he taught environmental design, graphics, and several design studios.
Drawing on his professional and academic background, Obidul is passionate about continuing to bridge the gap between theory and practice in architecture, contributing to innovative solutions in building design, inclusivity, and sustainability.
