Solar Decathlon

Conley Center is a sustainable retrofit of an existing concrete parking structure that will be transformed into an educational facility as well as a local bus station. The structure is currently an on-campus parking garage owned by the University of Missouri.

The established educational facility will host the University’s Child Development Center (CDL) and Memory and Cognitive Aging Lab (MACAL). The integration of these facilities into a consolidated daycare program will stimulate community interaction between young families and elderly individuals, which is shown by research to be beneficial for both groups, as well as solve the current spatial needs of the CDL program, which currently denies more than 200 children annually due to a lack of space.
